The “Educational Talk – Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) & Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS)” was held at Auditorium, M/F, Hospital Authority Building, Kowloon. The talk aims to enhance people’s understanding of the up-to-date information of RA and AS, including treatments and surgery. There were 56 participants.
The talk started with a presentation conducted by Dr. CHAU Shuk-yi, a Specialist in Rheumatology, who provided a clear explanation of the factors, symptoms and diagnosis of RA with some photos. She then explained the effects and standards to measure the improvement of health condition done by treatments. She also introduced different kinds of treatments using and without using drugs.
After that, Dr. YU Ka-lung, a Specialist in Rheumatology, explained the factors, symptoms and diagnosis of AS with some photos. He then introduced different kinds of treatments using and without using drugs, and explained the effects and standards to measure the improvement of health condition done by treatments.
The talk followed by a Q&A session. Participants actively asked questions. Dr. CHAU and Dr. YU answered with patience to solve their doubts.
