Hong Kong Jockey Club Patient Resource and Training Centre
HKARF opened its Resources and Training Centre on May 2012 for patients, carers and the general public. As The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust generously donated the renovation cost of the centre, the centre was named after the Jockey Club as “Hong Kong Arthritis & Rheumatism Foundation Jockey Club Patient Resource and Training Centre”.
The Foundation’s administrative office is located in the centre for handling the administrative work including the processing of patient and self-help group support fund applications. The centre has a resource library with a collection of educational materials regarding arthritis and rheumatism and a reading area that cater to patient education and is open to patients, carers and the general public. The centre also provides a venue for Foundation committee meeting, volunteer training, educational talks and programmes for physiotherapy and occupational therapy training and exercise classes. Besides, educational workshops and seminars will be organized in the Centre for patients and the general public.
